With no possessions or family for support, these boys must rely on each
other. Their enthusiasm is contagious and their hope for a brighter future
keeps them smiling. Note the damaged building in the background. This
orphanage houses over 850 children. During the winter months it is
extremely cold and the summer months bring unbearable heat.
Beginning in November of '02, Norma Emery was able to repair many
of the utilities and build a sick ward for the children who required
medical care. She also purchased a large inventory of medication and
introduced a dental hygeine program.
